Private vs public offers
Choose the reach of each offer based on your commercial strategy and partnerships.
Casabee distinguishes two types of offers: public and private. Understanding the difference allows you to direct each promo to the right audience.
Public offer
A public offer is broadcast on a large scale:
- it appears in the digital guidebook of all hosts in your geographic area;
- it's also visible in the BeeHive app to all guests present nearby;
- it's the default option: you keep the « Private » switch off when creating.
This is the right choice for the majority of promos, especially if you want to maximize your visibility with passing guests.
Private offer
A private offer is reserved for a restricted circle:
- it's visible only in the guidebook of the host with whom you have a direct partnership;
- it does not appear in BeeHive nor in the guidebooks of other hosts in the area;
- you activate the « Private (my guidebook only) » switch when creating.

How to create a private offer
Start the creation as explained in Create your first offer.
- In the form, find the « Private (my guidebook only) » switch.
- Activate it before validating.
- Finish the creation and add the cover image.
When to use which option?
Public: volume
A coffee chain wants to attract all guests in the city with -10% on brunch.
Private: exclusivity
A gourmet restaurant partnered with a boutique hotel wants a VIP offer reserved for that hotel's guests.
Mix: segment
A mainstream public promo + a more generous premium offer set as private at a key partner.
Typical use case
Imagine a restaurant in Anglet that has an exclusive partnership with a neighboring four-star hotel. It can create:
- a public offer "-15% on the lunch menu" for all guests in the area;
- a private offer "Complimentary house aperitif" reserved for guests of that specific hotel.
Automatic badges
Casabee highlights your offers with two automatic badges to boost their visibility:
- « New » — appears during the first 14 days after publication.
- « Ending soon » — appears in the last 7 days before the end date.
Play with these badges to create a sense of urgency: a short 14-day offer benefits from the « New » badge throughout its duration then the « Ending soon » badge in the last week — a formidable combo for conversion.
